A Sea Change is a QuoArtis project that promotes creative innovation in Blue Economy practices. Its goal is to promote the health of the marine ecosystem through art.

To this end, it organises an exhibition collaborating with renowned national and international artists.

Reflection
Everyone's problem must be seen by all.

More than 27 million tons of plastic waste are produced in Europe annually. Some 100,000 tons end up in the Mediterranean Sea, affecting more than 134 species in its ecosystem.

Pollution
At the edge of the problem.

Most Mediterranean coastal areas are home to chemical industries that produce large quantities of industrial waste.

The accumulation of substances and the discharge of fine solids constitute an essential source of pollutants in the environment and the marine ecosystem.

Overexploitation
Caught in the net.

Overfishing and the expansion of the aquaculture sector have added to the degradation of the marine and coastal environment.

This degradation has favoured the appearance of microscopic marine algae species that are toxic and threaten the ecosystem.

Idea
An immersive face-to-face and virtual experience.

Three viewing modalities: face-to-face, digital and virtual.
We offer three different format alternatives to get as many visitors as possible.

In this way, the users can visit the exhibition in situ and enjoy it whenever and wherever they want through a landing page or with mixed reality glasses.

Presential
Live the change up close.

Barcelona was selected as the last stop of the exhibition. It is undoubtedly one of the cities most affected by marine pollution.

The exhibition could be visited in person for over eight months at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, a unique and unmistakable space.

Virtual
Like a fish in water.

The sea from the inside. We provided a unique immersive experience to bring the user closer to the reality of the current marine ecosystem.

We offered to integrate the visitor into the marine ecosystem by accessing the exhibition virtually or online from anywhere.

Exposition
We executed our idea idea very well.

We designed the virtual gallery and communication campaign for the exhibition with the New York company Vortic.

In addition, we collaborated with different entities and reference groups such as MoMUS, KONTEJNER, NeME and the Experimental Center for the Arts.
